LAC DE TUEDA - A FAMILY-FRIENDLY HIKE

Situated at an altitude of 1,650 meters, Lac de Tueda is one of Méribel's natural gems. This easy hike starts in the center of the resort and follows a well-marked path through the woods to the lake. Along the way, you'll admire breathtaking landscapes of the Méribel Valley, as well as the local flora and fauna. Once you reach Lac de Tueda, you can relax on the shore, have a picnic, or even rent a canoe for a peaceful ride on the crystal-clear waters.

And if you still have a little energy left, go up to the Plan refuge (15 min) for their famous blueberry pie.

COL DE LA LUNE - A BREATH-TAKING VIEW

Col de la Lune is a more challenging hike that rewards you with a panoramic and awe-inspiring view of the surrounding mountains. The hike begins at the hamlet of La Chaudanne and follows a well-marked trail to the col, at an altitude of 2,697 meters. Along the way, you'll pass through picturesque alpine meadows and pine forests before reaching the col. Once at the top, you'll have a spectacular view of the Vanoise Massif and the surrounding glaciers.

This loop hike is slightly longer than the previous two but definitely worth it! Start your day from Méribel-Mottaret and follow the trail towards Refuge du Saut. After a well-deserved break at the refuge, continue your journey towards the lakes. Each of these lakes offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and provides an ideal spot to rest and recharge before continuing your hike.
